I input all my information on the website and I was a little startled by the results. I do not make more than 20k a year and I do not have any other deductions, dependants,or alternative income. Yet, when I submitted my information the results came back that I owed them over 0. I have never owed on my taxes in the past. So, I was just wonering what that was all about.

I used h and r block for several years and now i will never use them again.
h and r block is like McDonald’s, get u in the door and out as fast as they can so they can tend to the next customer in line.
h and r block and jackson hewitt, both do the same thing. go to a different tax location that does not deal with high volume and you will get more money back too cause they take the time to give you the deductions you are entitled to every year, h and r does not do that.
http://www.1040.com is where i used a calculator and it was close to accurate.
I agree 100% with Cathy. Luckily for me though, It only took one time to realize that I was ripped off. They charge about $200 just to do your taxes. Something you can do free. (Federal, small fee for State return)
They charge to do E-File. They charge to have your money direct deposit. And don’t let me start about how much they charge for a refund anticipation loan. I have used Turbotax and Taxact. Don’t go to H & R Block. Having tons of commercials and being well known does not make them better.
