Right now if I filed my Illinois state taxes I would get nothing and owe nothing. What are some deductions I can make to get a larger refund. Some one once said you can deduct sales tax and I did buy a car but I can’t find the info on their website. I was a student last year and my parents claimed me.
I am shipping my items only domestically. I sell children’s tshirts and they are not heavy to ship so how do I calculate taxes and shipping??
I have a UPS account but I know USPS is cheaper and probably more attractive to customers. Plus I am in California, so do I add the 8.25% sales tax? Or do I do a sales tax for each individual state?

I am trying to figure out the sales tax percentage on a new and used car in Las Vegas,Nevada. Any help would be appreciated.
I am not looking for the general sales tax. A salesperson at team ford told me it was 8.9%. Just seeing if this is true.
I’m talking on a federal level. A tax of 15-20% would be roughly equal to what the IRS takes in in sales tax. This would be more fair to the people, because it taxes on how much they spend, not on what they do for a living (work). Also, you have some influence over how much you pay in taxes. Seems like a good idea to me, are there any drawbacks? Oh yeah it would also make taxes much simpler, cause tax code is about 10x longer than the Bible.
I currently live in Florida USA. I am interested to find a state or country that does not tax a persons land with property tax.
The state is debating to remove the property tax and switch over to a current state sales tax of 6% to 8.5%. This I am in favor as in my house member in the state capitol, but the state Senator and governor are opposed to this so I have let them known that they are fired and would not have a vote from me in there next election.

I am ready to buy land that truly is going to be mine and hand down to future family members with out worrying the local government can claim it if the have property taxes tied to it.
These states are Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming. Seems like I should move to one ot these states, right? Unless there is a catch, like high sales tax on everything you buy? I don’t know, is there something I’m missing?

Any progressive either liberal, moderate, or conservative should not be partial to this. I was thinking about voting for barak obama but I would not vote for anyone who is for the income tax!

The fairtax get at all tax evaders, criminal etc.. about a trillion dollars in tax. Businesses won’t have a tax burden allowing lower prices and more jobs. It will be collected by states as they do with state, and local sales tax. Then distributed to the treasury meaning the new tax organization won’t be as near as complicated and personal as the irs.
