I currently live in Florida USA. I am interested to find a state or country that does not tax a persons land with property tax.
The state is debating to remove the property tax and switch over to a current state sales tax of 6% to 8.5%. This I am in favor as in my house member in the state capitol, but the state Senator and governor are opposed to this so I have let them known that they are fired and would not have a vote from me in there next election.
This link offer more details http://thehottestthing.com/government/taxes.htm
I am ready to buy land that truly is going to be mine and hand down to future family members with out worrying the local government can claim it if the have property taxes tied to it.

I came across a company that claims to be able to lower your property tax with a flat fee 0 and they will even refund the fee if they can’t lower your tax. It sounds too good to be true. Can there be a catch?

When I refinanced my house in California a few years ago, it was reassessed at a higher value. This led to an increase in my property tax. Now that prices have gone down, will my property taxes go down when I refinance and have my house value reassessed?

My concern is that this could trigger property tax re-evaluations and my taxes would get boosted. The home is in So-UT/No-AZ. Are there other pitfalls to this?

My mom has no income coming in, other than a little social security and money her children can provide for her. Her property tax is very high. Is there a way that her property tax can be reduced because of her situation. Some seniors are losing their home because of high property taxes. Thanks.

Which party would be more against property tax?
Democrats or Republicans? I think once someone reaches a certain age, they shouldn’t have to pay taxes on their property.
