I’m only seventeen and i’ve been working minimum wage part-time for almost 8 months. My parents initially thought I didn’t have to worry about taxes because I am still dependent on them. Then I realized my friends were filing tax returns, so my mom said to give her my W2 when I received it and she would take care of it. I never got a W2. Are some people exempt from doing taxes? Or am I going to owe some huge fine?

Well, ok my mom makes about 15.000 a year. she has to support 2 dependents use to be 4 but 2 of my brothers moved out. well anyways she doesnt have a SSN. They pay her cash for cleaning houses, yet government gave her an EIN and are making her pay taxes she has to pay 0 monthly and doesnt get anything back. I dont understand why and she doesnt either. Usually when u pay taxes u get a tax refund atleast but she doesnt.

I’m still in high school and trying to understand all this. step dad is trying to keep my mom from getting money from our old house which she bought and made morgage payments on that we moved out of. He refuses to move or sell it yet is still there after a year and a half while also trying to get spousal support (hes a lazy sleazebag out of work). The lawyers are stalling after realizing there is not much money involved and constantly cancelling deposition dates, and billing rediculous things. How can we get them to move things along? Can we force them to do anything? Please help I want to go to an Ivy for college and see family in Europe which is very expensive.

In 2005 i claimed my sister as my dependent because i was helping my mother with my sister so my mom said it was ok for me to claim her. Right now the irs wants me to prove the i supported my sister.

i’m trying to make statement with my son’s mom and at the same time i want to play it safe by finding out what the actual fine is.
i have shared physical and shared legal custody of my son. we alternate weeks so i get him 2 weeks every months. my son is on his mothers insurance and she makes more money then i do. she is claiming him on het income tac. i was wondering if i have the right to claim my son on my tax.

it is concerning my grandma and my mom…
my mom put my grandma in a home and she doesnt even visit her..yet she spends all my grandmas pension on herself and her low life husband…and my poor granny is left in that home where she is left in her room all day….please i need some advice on what to do
