I am in need of an attorney as I am preparing to sue my employer for abuse and/or creating a very hostile work environment. I have never sued anyone before and do not know what kind of attorney I need. Does anyone know what kind of lawyer I need for this?

Mistreatment is creating acute anxiety, fear, worry, desperation. I’ve even decided to begin taking medication for these things - never did anything like that in my life. I am very frightened of losing the job, as I am the only bread earner and have to pay all the bills.

I have kept very thorough records of what has transpired at work but do not know where to turn for legal consultation.

Before you ask, there is no one here I can go to, complain to, seek advice from. Those who work in the H.R. department answer to her, as well, and are terrified of her. Any time I have gently tried to voice a concern I was told to be quiet and careful. I am so horrified. Does anyone know anything about this?

My wife quit her job due to a recent relocation for mine, so now I’m the sole provider. We have 1 child and file our taxes jointly. I have been claiming 1 on my federal tax exemptions for my daughter. On my state tax allowances I claim 0. I would like some advice/information on what to set these at. Consider the following two scenarios.

1. Successful individual with six figure income and significant assets hires tax attorney/account to ensure every deduction and technique to reduce tax liability is explored and taken advantage.

2. Same situation as above but individual encounters serious financial downturn due to job loss or failed investments. Decides to exercise bankruptcy protection and hires attorney to ensure he is able to protect as many of his assets as possible and reduce financial liabilities as allowed by the legal process.

Both have acted legally. Is there an ethical difference between them? Is there an ethical duty to pay taxes as required by a democratically elected government? Is there an ethical duty to pay private debt? Is there a difference between the two?
Good answer; I ask because I recently heard an argument that people who use bankruptcy law to their advantage to resolve a financial problem are unethical or immoral.

Ive been offered a job as a correctional officer (jail guard) in a small city 800+ miles away from my home town. I don’t want to move my wife and son there due to horrible sex crime statistics and i don’t want to move them away from the rest of our family and support group. The average cost of a plane ticket is around 0 dollars and id probably be renting a motel room or something. I’ve heard of business expenses and travel expenses so would the plane ticket and motel cost be a tax write off?

I recently applied to the position of Individual Taxpayer Advisory Specialist. I already made it past online exams…I received emails from personnel stating that I had to fill out forms, which I did. This past Friday I was told I am a finalist and was asked to get fingerprinted and photographed. I want to be a lawyer but that won’t be in a while. I need to know what lawyers get paid the most. The best law schools like out of 10 (Other countries are okay too). What will be needed to become a very good lawyer. Is there such a thing as a world-wide lawyer? Am I able to go to a university out of America? I want to start early to getting to this job, what can I do?

I was w-2 for most of last year. Then in October I quit m job and went out on my own (real estate). I was employed at a salary of k/year, and made 27990. After that I recieved about k from the profit of a sale of a condo that i did not own or anything, just profit shared from working on it. I know I have my W-2, and I will be given a 1099 for the 8k, but how much do I pay on that 8k? I usually use Turbotax….will it autopoulate, or do I need to consult someone?
