Should Governmental services be accessible to Citizens and Legal Aliens, only?

The way that I figure it one of the main gripes about the Illegal problem is the drainage that they create on our social services. so would it be wise to limit said services to Citizens and Legal Aliens exclusively?

The only services we should give illegal aliens who have invaded our country are those necessary for the deportation of those who should not be here. A ride to the border, and maybe a last meal on American soil, nothing more…
I agree, each and every one who applies for any aid should have to attest to the fact that they are here in this country legally, and produce documents to prove it.

NOTHING to the ILLEGALS, legals who are less then a year citzen get 6 months for a "get on there feet" then that’s it. can’t make time to move on
Government services are already limited. Limiting them more will not fix the problem. The rules/regulations are already in place but people often ignore them by providing the benefits anyway. It’s a lack of accountability.
Under your idea, police and fire department services would be with-held from non legal aliens. If an illegal alien gets hit by a car, you would check his legal status prior to aiding him and if he was not legal you would leave him on the road to fend for himself?

also if illegals go to hospitals they should be made to pay the bill. no use of food pantries either.
I agree that this is a real problem–and my view is that such access should be limited–very. A few things–emergency health care, a few other things–yes. Simply because the collateral effects on the rest of us s signifigant.
But the real issue is why hasn’tanything beendone to fix the system so we DON"T have all the undocumented immigrants–either by exclusing them, or setting the system up so they are documented (legal)?
I haveabsolutely no sympathy for the complaints of the so-called "law-and-order" right wing on this. They controlled Congress for 12 years while this mess developed–anddid absolutely nothing about it. This year, with a conservative reform plan finally on th etable, it was the right-wing who chose to scuttle it.
We will get the kind of immigration reform we need–so the "services access" issue and others can be resolved–but it will be in 2009 and will be a far more liberal reform package. The right wing will scream. Too bad. They had well over a decade to act–and deliberately chose not to do so.
Government services should be readily available to anyone who works in the US.
Let’s stop rewarding illegal behavior. It is illegal for US citizens to hire undocumented workers.
Let us bill these employers for the services that their illegal employees need from the government.
Employers who employ illegals are the ones who benefit from the system. They do not withhold taxes.They offer low wages without health insurance and other benefits that they would have to give to legal workers..
If there were fewer illegal employers, there would be a lot less illegal immigration.
They are. Anyone in this nation illegally are not supposed to have access to any of our social services.
Problem? They steal social security numbers, which is a "passport" of sorts to all that is accessable to one in this nation legally.
I think one should have to PROVE with a birth certificate or a certificate that states they are legally in this nation (not a social security card only). I further think this "anchor baby" thing is a joke, and if a child is born in this nation of parents that are not both here legally, then that does not afford them automatic citizenship. It should afford them automatic deportation.

Yes but Glen B is right, the rules are already in place to prevent this but due to lack of accountability or inferior authentication methods the services are still abused.
Health Care is a prime example, hospitals are required to administer "emergency" care only but many of our emergency rooms are used as family health clinics, at the expense of tax payers. The administrators should be held personally responsible for allowing any service that is not considered emergency care, same goes for other taxpayer funded services.
