I already filed my tax return for year 2007 (using wife’s ITIN). Now, I want to change my wife’s ITIN with her SSN that she got in year 2007. Is it possible to refile or change the ITIN with SSN.

An ITIN is issued to people who don’t have, or are not eligible for, a SSN. How can your wife have both?

VERY SUSPICOUS. Looks like you are trying to get rebate not entitled to. Why would you use ITIN if she had a social? If she is not a citizen (?) you can’t get the rebate.
No Don’t try it. One thing u don’t want to do is mess with the IRS!
Some people who have an ITIN do later (legally) obtain a SSN. However, I don’t know if you can fix this with a 1040X or not.
If your question is related to the rebate, you should get the difference that is due to you when you file your 2008 return (in 2009). Of course, you need to file it properly…with the Social Security Number.
But I would be trying to clear this up sooner than that by contacting the IRS. Did she receive a W2 for 2007? What ID number (ITIN or SSN) was on that form?
Since the SSN won’t change your tax bill, wait until you file next year to use the SSN. You can write the IRS and state that here’s the SSN and ask that the records be merged together.
