I currently live in Florida USA. I am interested to find a state or country that does not tax a persons land with property tax.
The state is debating to remove the property tax and switch over to a current state sales tax of 6% to 8.5%. This I am in favor as in my house member in the state capitol, but the state Senator and governor are opposed to this so I have let them known that they are fired and would not have a vote from me in there next election.
This link offer more details http://thehottestthing.com/government/taxes.htm
I am ready to buy land that truly is going to be mine and hand down to future family members with out worrying the local government can claim it if the have property taxes tied to it.

I used the one on Obama’s site and it says I’ll be getting a bigger tax break than the one the non-partisan Tax Foundation pu out. My fiance and I make no where near 250K. I think Obama was a little vague with his tax talk. I guess we’ll see somewhere around the middle of the year how much he really is or isn’t going to help out those of us in the middle class.

This one has a pretty good spreadsheet made by the tax foundation:

okay my husband gets SSI and SS and he worked last year for a few months before he became ill again. I also worked, but have always filed my taxes separate of course since he has never filed because of not working in the past. We have a child and I always receive the child tax credit and earned income credit. Should we file together and if we do , will it affect my financial aid. How does it work out doing it together. I am not sure since I have never filed that way. Please help, we are going this morning to file.
Do they add the SSI aand SS amount into the income we made?
