I went to a free consultation for bankruptcy and I walked away since that i have to sign some disclosure. There was also a form to fill up my name, address, social security number… I don’t want to give him my information because i’m not sure if i want to file or not… Any advice or precaution should i take? Any input will help. Thank you.

A reasonable attorney would not ask you for any of that information during a free consultation. In saying that, most bankruptcy attorney’s don’t offer free consultations, there is usually a fee. I would do some searching for a respectable, trustworthy, and extremely expereince attorney to talk to about it. It sounds like whoever you dealt with was trying to start the process right away. A good attorney, will tell you to go away after the consultation, think about what was discussed and what your situation is, and then decide if this is right for you. Hope that helps.
