Was wondering. My friend recieved the H & R Block holiday loan, and now he wants to file with Jackson Hewitt. Would H & R Block know? Would the loan just go on his credit? Will Jackson hewitt or the IRS know that he recieved the loan?

Can I use my bank statements in lieu of actual receipts from a particular company for tax filing purposes? The statements the company has in print is less than what they actually deducted from my business checking account. Our high school club wants to fundraise at fresh choice (15% of the profit goes to us for ever customer who goes in with our flyer). Our coach does not want to use his SSN and my school won’t give us theirs because we’d have to fill out additional fundraising forms which could take weeks to approve. Can i use my parent’s SSN or even mine? What is the purpose of the W-9 anyways?

As I understand it, a "church" must stick to religion only and not get involved in politics according to IRS rules. And as I understand it the Mormon church sponsored prop 8. How do they not loose their tax-exempt status?
